Martin Berg

Martin Berg (4 April 1905 – 2 April 1969) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Martin Berg was captured by British troops in May 1945 and was handed over to American forces and remained in captivity until 1947.
